Conventions Governing This Region

Do not deliberately slow down games by holding or not sending in your turns.

If you ever feel the need to delay a game turn,
just email me and I will add in a few days
otherwise game host dates are set as stated in each game.
we are here to have fun! not adhere to a fixed undeviating schedule.
i am not Caesar

Every player must have their own e-mail address available for use with this game.
(your own pc too. I doubt the library will let you use theirs for this)

This Host does not play... here.
(There may be exceptions. If so it will be stated in the games info page)

Players missing 3 turns without notification will be auto dropped.
on notice, your turn will be unpacked / maked to preserve your entry

Unless otherwise stated...
New games will be given a start time after 7 positions are taken..
and possibly with fewer than 7.

Please limit yourself to 40 or less games on this site :-)

Bypassing normal game boundaries (double teaming) will get you a visit from a Breen squad,
who will educate you on the discomforts regarding being stuffed in a barrel of diluted toxic waste.
i.e... your id/reg# will be posted in the hall of shame as the proof.

1 player, running 2 or more races in 1 game with 1 registered game id, is a breach of trust and honor.
No host of this game will put up with this.
No multi-racing = 1 player per game/race per registration.
If found to be multi racing = 2+ human players using 1 game registration on 2+ positions in the same game,
the offending players IP address blocked, alias names be publicly posted along with the registration info from the reg.log for all to see.

You may however, if hard core allied (FFx) with another player,
play a partners turn if they will be away for a few turns (3)
This requires both to be sharing RSTs within the games ability,
by use of the Add Ally form.
This will be check against with the reg.log file.
(updated Aug.10.2k7)

Only game turn (.trn) files will be accepted in email attachments.

If you feel the need to leave a game or will be away but don't want to quit the game,
PLEASE use the ONLINE FORMS to set your games play.

Host run schedules are "generally" as follows...
because initial turns do not take more than a few minutes
hosting will be ASAP for the 1st several turns.

Turn 1-7 S_T_T_S Will Host early *
Turn 8-20 S_T_T_S May host early *
Turn 21-40 S_T__F_ Will not host early *
Turn 41-60 _M___F_ Will not host early *
Turn 61+ ___W___ Will not host early *
*Unless stated in games info section

All games (as of #22) will have a highlighted constellation map included
in each games command function area... unless blank-map / explore-map is used.

Host types will be
TimHost v047
Killing Floor with Tim-Host
Phost - plist games are not done here... yet

Some games may be at turn 1 but not have any RST available.
This is because the game was setup with advanced planets / bases
this also prevents players from joining and dropping to join another race.

Auto-drop for lack of play will cause full loss of any acquired points for that game.
Using the online form to quit will keep those points.
Combat Score points equal your games final autoscore %.
These are added to your running total.

Killrace option, if not standard, is listed in each game.
If not listed, standard practice will be to remove any unplayed race
after at least 5 turns have lapsed since last active,
or when noticed if later than 5 turns. This is to reduce
the 'free kills and ships' potential for nearby players, but still
giving them some short time to capitalize on the situation.
For new games, at least 10 turns before being done.
Some games will have non played races removed just before game start.

Game Status Info
There are several ownership levels..
Players,
civil war, exterminated and extinct.
Players are just that.
Civil war are those abandoned races which can still be competitive.
Exterminated are all but wiped out, but can still have some minor presence.
Extinct are those which have been killraced early.

Unless stated in the Game Details section,
Autoscore for Autotroll is used as the primary basis for placement.. 1st, 2nd... at the end of any game.
Autoscore can also be used as a victory condition by meeting a set total strength %.
Referee scenarios can also be a victory condition but not an end of game condition.
Victory conditions do not automatically end any game. A majority vote to end will always succeed.

For games that have a Victory Condition of Most TONS Sunk after turn XYZ
Score point bonuses will be given out at a rate of 2 points per 1000 tons sunk.

For Autoscore games, points given to those who finish are as it gives out.
For anyone who drops early, with notice, they will get 5 points plus 1 battle point
per 2% autoscore from turn dropped, as a reward for trying, at least.

6.6% will get you 9 points.
and must complete at least 20 turns
