Construct -O- Con Basics
With the uncertainty of the High Commands hosting, we plan on restarting hosting services here.
Games are still planned.. but due to XP's death, compatibility issues need to be resolved.

1. Everyone starts with the same basic 8 ships, listed below.
2. Players design
4 new Capital ships and 2 Utility ships
3. Everyone has a budget of 6500 per new Cap ship and 1700 per Utility.
4. Cap ships do NOT need to be a special hull, more $ for firepower!
5. Race 5 is not in this scenario, they would be too over powered.

Hull Tech levels dictate the amount of something you can add or must have as part of the ship design.
Don't expect to make a 1 engine bus sized battleship with 3000 crew and 20 weapons

Everyone starts with 6500MC with which to design their Alter Ego ships.
 Limitations: No ship can have all 3 weapon types,...
i.e.  no Torp & Fighter ships
 they just wont work with TimHost.

The number of Special Hulls is restricted to what TIM
has allowed from what specialized ships are listed below.
Or, Redesign a hull you currently have
or make a totally new one with NO specialization,
an example ship is listed at the bottom.

 Design positions are a 1st join 1st build
So get it in quick (
and approved)  before someone else does.
Feel free to name your new ship class.
 Sign up, Pick your race, design ships and send for approval.

Yes you can build your ships above the minimum required hull tech level
but the only reason would be to plow through regular mine fields.
Get above the minimum hull tech level for stopping ships via a mine hit.
Which for this game will be 8-10.

There are no Hulls with tech 1 or 2,
those are for interplanetary use only.

 * Restriction Examples:
 Only 1 ship can be a Casino / Gambling ship.
 Once chosen, no other player can develop this technology.
 Only 2 ships can be developed with Advanced cloaks.
 After those are picked, no others for that choice are allowed.
No Graviton Drive ships are in the game, everyone moves slow.
 You cannot redesign an existing hull in your default ship list.

The star map will be NEW.

This is a general designs limitations checklist, but the real one is computed in the excel sheet to design from.
Cost for each ship item will be as follows: (

Super Structure ** &* an empty hull the bare stuff to get into space. Hull Tech level (HTL) * 100MC

  Costs 100MC going up 1 TL, Refund 100MC going down 1 TL
Engine Mounts* Warp Drive! * Can be reduced below HTL

* Base 120 per Engine Mount. HTL 1-3 only needs 1 engine.
  2 engines needed @ HTL 4-5,
3 @ HTL 6-7 4 @ HTL 8-10.
Fuel Capacity - 10 minimum BP or Exxon Bio Beans and Teenagers faces supply most of this 0.2 MC Each. 20 fuel = 4MC. The 1st 10 cost 10 MC.**
Crew Quarters - 10 minimum sleeeeep 0.14286 MC each  &  round up! 1 MC per 7 Crew. 70 Crew = 10MC  The 1st 10 cost 10 MC.**
Cargo Bays - 10 minimum Food & Toys   3 MC each to 250, 1 MC per over 250. The 1st 10 cost 10 MC.**
Beam Weapon Hard Points blasters An HTL 1 can have only 1 Total Weapon. 110 MC - 1 to 6 beams, 135 MC each over 6.
Over HTL 1,   +1 HTL per 4 Total Weapons. HTL 3 = 9 max,
HTL 4 = 13 max,   HTL 5 = 17 max. HTL 6+ = 20 max
Torp Weapon Hard Points photon torps No Fighters with this. 80 MC - 1 to 5 launchers, 120 MC each over 5.
Fighter Launch Bays - TL 4+ Launch Launch! No Torps with this. 190 MC - 1 to 4 bays, 275 MC each over 4.
Additional Ship Armor (MASS) armor plating added in via extra mineral costs to ship hull construction +1 MC per 15 Kt mass extra to basic hull (see above)
  i.e. 15MC = 150 mass = +150kt Minerals needed to build hull.
*After engine improve/reduced efficiency, if taken.

2 of the items below can be used 1x per ship
^* can be used up to 6 times
** can be used 2 times
REDUCE Ship Armor (MASS) armor stripping 1/2 subtracted out via minerals 2 MC per 10 Kt mass removed from basic hull mass.
  Max 70% mass reduction, 1/2 of this is mineral cost.
Improved Armor Technology ** armor enhance 1/2 Total minerals cost!
2nd use = 1/3 cost.
HTL * 75 .. expensive, but very useful ! (hull mass not affected!)
Improved Engine Efficiency ^* -1 engine over 2 up to 3 engines removed. HTL * 55  [  no less than 2 engines per HTL over 3. ]
  minimum of 1 engine per HTL 1-3., hull mass -25 per eng removed.
REDUCED Engine Efficiency * +1 engine over 1 no more than 6 engines added. -(HTL * 30) yes, cash back! (10 engines max per hull)
  add 40 (35+5) to hull mass per engine added using this option..
